Re: My daily Picture

Thomas, such "broken glass" images are intended to "make you shiver", it's the shock value that makes them so powerful. Not to everyone's taste, I'll agree, but it's with images like that you become world famous.

Re: How to HOLD your camera

I.m a left hander and from when I first started photography it has always felt natural to rest the lens in my left hand. Yes, I let it rest and do not squeeze it tightly. Sometimes I will form a triangle with my thumb, index and middle finger and rest the lens on it. Hi 1957PLATO, I'd say "grip" it...

Chiaroscuro is the opposite of what everyone's taught you

Almost every photography tutorial you've ever watched will tell you how to "correctly" expose every part of the image so you don't lose shadow or highlight detail. Alongside the so-called "rules of composition", it is constantly drummed into apprentice photographers that they should expose to the ri...

Re: Migrating Lightroom to Capture One by Walter Rowe

I've never used Lightroom, as I refuse to pay a subscription. But I do have PhotoShop and have recently purchased the perpetual license download of Capture One. So far, it looks very good, although I've still got a steep learning curve before I'll be comfortable with it. So, thanks Rob, for a link t...

Great picture, 1957PLATO.
I really like this kind of picture where the blacks of the camera blend into the blacks of the shadows. You've beautifully captured the textures.

Nice one,

Re: LOCKDOWN STORE CUPBOARD FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGE

Maybe the prize for the winner is to have their image printed on a t-shirt or apron with the words

FEEDS THE SOUL

Any thoughts?

Keep those images coming,
