Camera strap connections
Rob, Not sure if this goes here, but here is a strap connection that might work better for you. I have found them on vintage straps but so far I can't find them new online. They screw down to lock the spring clip. P1190138.JPG You might also try some large fishing swivel hooks - it is unlikely they ...

Re: I think I'm getting there
That is a great photograph. Very cool. What happens if you use something like the live composite instead of stacking? I guess that would just cause blurring? Great project.

Re: Cat Pictures
I was at a friend's house and turned a corner and sitting at eye level was this little alien. A bit startling. [Minolta X-700 and Tri-X]

Mallows Bay, Maryland
A few pictures from Mallows Bay in Maryland. This is now a kayak park but in the past it was the last resting place of a mothball fleet of ships constructed in Alexandria, VA around the time of WWI. Supposedly there are about 230 ships here. Eventually most of them were stripped of metal and either ...

Re: BATTERIES FOR THE OLYMPUS OM-4
I use regular 357 batteries in my OM-2 and it meters fine. I've heard of some issues with OM-4 eating batteries with a partial solution of putting it in B mode before storing it. I'm not sure about the zinc-air batteries but I do use hearing aid silver-air batteries in some of my older cameras that ...

Re: Bargain or waste?
Serge, I'm not sure about the OM-1 but I know that on the OM-2 Olympus used a foam around the viewfinder prism that decays and eventually can mess up the prism. I'm not sure if that is your problem but could be. If are careful and handy you can remove the foam yourself but I'm not sure about cleanin...

Re: 35mm neg scanning
Coolscan is the way to go but it is expensive. For initial scans I use a Pakon F135 which is quick but only about 3 meg files. It will do a 36 roll in about ten minutes. Unfortunately these are also expensive and only run on Windows XP. In two days (Sept 15 2020) the guy from Cameradactyl will be st...
