It is just shorthand for straight out of camera - I am not good at allocating time to processing and try to get the result I want at the time of shooting. The Pen F options go a long way to making this possible.

This is taken in a well known student neighbourhood in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK). Just trying to use the 17mm 1.8 for some street photography with the Pen F and monochrome profile 2.

Thanks for sharing these images. I particularly like the second one, where is it taken? I checked mine for the focal length and both were taken at 49mm - I have read that this lens is particularly sharp at around 70mm. As Rob says it is a bargain in the Olympus line up.

I am trying to develop my skills with monochrome and the Pen F includes many options. There are two more in the Picture a Day “Post your daily pics here thread”. I am going to revisit this location in greater detail as Rick suggests.

Too many years ago I used an OM10 35mm film camera - the smaller design appealed to me and it served me well when using Kodachrome 25, 64 and later Ektachrome slide film. I checked recently with a new battery and it still works! With the coming of digital photography family photographs were captured...
