Thanks Lysippus. Beautiful shot. Now I am very excited! Lockdown eases for us at the end of October and then I hope to be able to get out and photograph. I have seen deals where the 1.4 teleconverter is included, did you get a teleconverter? Very cute red robin, look at those feathers!

Hi Deboco, I didn't see a deal with the 1.4 teleconverter included, however it would probably be just too expensive for me in one gulp. I hope Santa will be good to me this year. It's on my list. The 150mm is good for what I do, but the teleconverter would be a great addition. It's really quality verses reach, 2.8 at all focal lengths, and the fact that the Zoom is internal, i.e. the lens doesn't extend. As I like shooting hand held I bought the decoration ring used when the tripod adaptor is off the lens. Remember it is 72mm for filters.

Hi Lysippus. My lens arrived today. I found one on eBay, still under warranty and a 1.4 teleconverter and uv lens. I was worried, I haven't spent that much on an eBay order before, but it arrived and seems to be fine. If the rain stops tomorrow, I will be able to have a play. I think I will even be able to do handheld, which is great. I won't find a Red Robin, I will try for a Kookaburra,
Deb
