My process of the day.

Post by DeMorcan »

The cabin photo is done in a wood block style. I posted a version of this before I finished the wood block look. The other one is more like the drawings that were done when printing was not limited to 1 ink density. They are just alternatives to normal B&W conversions done using various blend modes. The landscape one is really too busy for this technique. Which I knew going in, but wanted to see what could be done. I have so many actions that I am using something else that I think works better than actions. I duplicate the base layer, make it a sharp object which I then duplicate as needed. That way I can add one layer with the new photo into the first smart object. Then the PSD will process it all automatically and I just have the adjust the blend ifs or mask. Loading the PSD and adding the photo I want is faster than the the actions. I am converting some of my actions to PSD so I can load the one I want and just put the photo in.
