Re: Birds in Flight settings for OMD e-m10 mark ii issue

Hi Rob, I am Maanas, I have been following your YouTube channel for a while and I love the content! I currently have an Olympus om-d e-m10 mark ii watched your Birds in flight and normal bird photography video on YouTube for the Om-d e-m10 mark ii. I did as you suggested and the Single point auto focus works perfectly fine for Birds sitting on a tree etc. However, I am having issues with Bird in flight settings, I have exactly followed what you suggested in the video and I tried it several times, and rechecked my super control panel everytime. I am having an issue with my Exposure values, whenever I increase the Shutter speed in Manual mode, at shutter speed 2000,the Exposure line right next to the aperture keeps constantly blinking at -3.0 value. I tried taking a few pictures of birds in flight but they turned out to be completely black due to the -3.0 exposure value (link of the picture regarding the issue is attached) . I am unable to see where I went wrong, can I please know how to fix this issue? Thanks a lot!

You need to be sure you're shooting in enough light. Back your shutter speed down to 1/1000th and make sure your auto-iso is set for 200-25,600. Also, try shooting in "S"hutter priority mode and not manual. Let me know if that worked.
