The 40 to 150 f2.8 Vs 14-150

Post by SimonSsigns »

A comparison between these lenses would be great. I'm thinking of getting the 40-150 f2.8 which I understand is superb but its a significant wad and also it's large in size. I saw the comparison between the 40-150 f4.5-5.6 and the 14-150 when I was impressed how the 14-150 performs iro distance sharpness over the 40-150. As I'm mostly interested for landscape work though it won't be using it professionally of course. It would still be extremely interesting to see a comparison done thoroughly. Im new to Rob's channel. I didn't realize there was anyone doing thorough reviews of MFT lenses and it's great also to see near and far properties being tested as well. I'm pretty sure that none of the other reviews for any of the lenses of any system cover near and far sharpness as an actual criteria. It's very informative though it must take an enormous effort to these thorough reviews with comparison shots side by side.

Hi, Simon. Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, I don't own the 40-150mm pro so can't do a comparison. I don't plan on getting it anytime soon since I'm really content with the 14-150mm.

I'm with you on the other reviewers. Zoom lenses really need to be tested across the zoom range. I've never seen anyone do that either.
