I noticed a very interesting new feature with WS...

It looks like the new V1.5 WorkSpace update has some interesting changes. They opened the "Pen-F" Color and MonoChrome feature to all OMD and most Pen Series RAW files. In the past, you could only use color and monochrome profiles on Pen F RAW files...

It was always possible to use all the WS functions with jpeg files, but with RAW files some functions were not available for all cameras. This has now changed.

This means someone with an EM5 II can now apply Kodak 25 or 64 color profiles on his or her EM5 II raw files with WS...

Another interesting aspect is some of the new features introduced in the new E-P7, will work with my EM1 II RAW files in WS. This does not seem to be completely open to all camera models. For example, some of the E-P7 ART filters like the Soft Focus ART filter have an Opacity Slider. I now see this same slider for my EM1 RAW files in WS...

I also noticed the E-P7 "Instant Film" ART filter is now available in WS for jpeg files... Interesting this filter is also open for my EM1 II RAW files but not for the Pen-f raw files- interesting..?

TIP:- Never evaluate the different creative features in isolation. When you look at something like ART filters in isolation they can be boring. When you combine ART filters with other functions when editing or creating profiles, you will see they are very interesting and powerful...

Finally, I see more and more Olympus videographers reporting how they use the video footage directly from their Olympus cameras. I think photographers already knew this. Now add to this the ability to create unique color profiles in the camera and you have a very interesting video camera with Olympus cameras...

Now I will have to update. I really did not like Workspace for my processing. I had made a LR/PS color profile of each of the art filters so I could use them with LR/PS. Now I have to make some more. :) As a color profile in LR/PS, they all had an opacity slider which I liked. Also, I could use them on any RAW from any camera. If I could figure out how to export color profiles, I would like some other people to test them. But all I have is the cubes for the LUT function in PS or conversion to color profiles in PS.

Image editing is a personal thing simply because there are so many possibilities. For example, you seem to be very comfortable with Adobe products plus you are satisfied with the results you get. Do you need anything else? Probably not...

WorkSpace on the other hand is turning out to be the biggest surprise of the century? Yes like all Olympus products it was and still is doomed and gloomed on every opportunity the "experts" get to do so... Looking past that and WorkSpace is one of the easiest image editors to master. The more you use it, the easier it gets and the better the editing results... :-)

The most interesting aspect of WS is the "enhanced raw format" and the fact that you can simulate Live View in WS. See my latest article for more...

Who should try WS? It's really simple - if you are new to image editing and like to learn more about it, then WS is a no-brainer. If you are interested in discovering more about Olympus Live View and why it's called WorkSpace, then again - no-brainer...

I can go on and on... Check out Rob's excellent videos on WS, ask questions and I have no doubt that guys like DeMorcan, Rob, and others are ready to help with excellent advice...

And thanks for this. Since I did not have a Pen F I have some new looks even if I exported them to PS and LR.
