Lens Flare Problem Solved
Posted: 12 Nov 2022 02:25
To make a long story short, I solved my problem by removing the UV filter from my lenses when I shoot at night. I first noticed this problem when shooting at night and I would see little greenish spots on my image. At first, I thought I had a camera or lens problem. Well, the problem occurred on my EM 5 and my EM1 with my kit zoom lens and my fixed focal length lenses. However, it was worse on my fixed-focal-length lenses.
I'm putting this out in case anyone else is having the same problem. I just finished a night session tonight in Korea and had no problems with the UV filter off of the lens. I definitely slow when it comes to figuring stuff out. Hopefully, this will help somebody else.
Here are 2 samples of images. The one with the water in the foreground was taken on a different night and with the kit zoom lens. It was also shot in HDR, processed in DXO and then AFfinity Photo.
