Macro Setting Tests

I've done a series of shots using different differential settings to try and work out how the settings affect the focal distance/s.
Camera is E-M1 MkII, lens is M.Zuiko 30mm Macro @f11 - Number of shots = maximum of 15
Shots with the focus differential of 1 have the shortest depth of field, the difference between the focus differentials of 5 & 10 is negligible.
In order to work out what effects other settings have I'll run some more tests at differentials of 2,3 and 4 and post them later.

Here are the three photos at focus differentials of 2,3 & 4.
Once you get to 3 the whole of the ruler is in focus, so anything above this makes no difference.
I'll now run the tests again reducing the number of photos in the set from 15 to 10 to see what effect this has.

3 more images, sets of 10 photos at differentials of 1,2 & 3.
On this occasion with only 10 shots the setting of 3 did not result in the D-O-F extending to the rear of the frame, so depending on how much D-O-F you need, you may have to shoot more than 10 frames.

To complete this set of tests, my last 3 images.
This time I moved the ruler closer to the camera so that the front of the ruler was directly under the front element of the lens to see where the focus starts and ends (camera was at an angle of ~25°).
Sets of 10 images, focus differentials of 1,2 & 3.

I did all of this out of curiosity, I posted my findings it in the hope it might help somebody.

The macro focus stacking shots are very useful thx
