I bought the E-500 for $60 from Robert's Camera and it came in today. I wanted this camera for it's Kodak CCD sensor. I've seen a few images from Francios in this post E-330 pics and fell in love with the colors.

It renders quite a bit warmer in auto iso, so I'm showing both SOOC and edits in Lightroom to match white balance. Even so, I still see a bit more magenta in the E-500. I shot them at different focal lengths then cropped in to match field of view and match them to approximately 5 megapixels.

I took both raw files into Capture One 13.1 with default settings. I click the auto white balance on both images. I floated the Metadata and White Balance tools over the image and did a screen area grab on macOS (CMD+SHIFT+4).

I think your argument about the E500 having a magenta color cast is real. Look at the temperature AND the tint. The temperature and tint are higher in the E500. Interestingly it looks a little more saturated too. That might be part of the default Capture One ICM profile vs the data in the raw file.
