Hi
Got a OMD EM5 MK3 ON Ebay for good price and very low shutter count +- 2300 clicks. Camera in very good shape and using it for about 5days and suddenly notice the back thumb rest is starting to come loose. Any suggestion to repair.

Hi Leo,
I've seen lots of youtuber complaining about this issue including Rob. It seems that the glue used is of poor quality. I don't own a EM5 MK3 but I would say that you can glue it with better quality glue ?
You can also check for a thumb grip repair on

Sometimes you can use one from fuji if the shape is the same. I've done that for my EM10 mk3 with a thumb hotshoe and it fits perfectly. I think it's worth a try.

Ok
Thanks,it looks like a DIY fix for me then.I did ask Rob now in a seperate writing if that Sugru glue that he mentoned on the live chat can be used. I m worried if the weather sealing integrety was compremised but Olympus repair cntre here in south-africa said no that its not comprimizes.I am not sure if i have to dettach it completely and then re-attach it using the Sugru glue. For now its only slightly loose(about 3 to 4 mm)

Sugru is a compound to replace the rubber grip. I molded it like clay to form a larger protruding thumb grip on my pen f.
