A photo that means something to me.

Image

Taken with an E-M10 mk1 & Oly 17mm F1.8 lens.

The story.

I was out walking with my friend when we arrived in an area near the Coast Guard hut. We'd seen an RLNI search & rescue helicopter fly over the sea and ended up upon what turned out to be a sad scene. A woman with mental health issues had jumped off the edge and landed on the rocks below the coast guard hut. A lady working there witnessed it. As the medical team tried to help her people gathered to watch, it was a subdued crowd. I had no wish to get closer but noticed the dog patiently waiting with its owner. I felt the dogs look summed up the mood. I'd noticed everyone was looking towards the scene and waited for the dog to look around, eventually it did and this is the result.

This image always reminds me how precious life is as sadly the woman got her wish 12 hours later when you passed away in hospital.

Such a sad photo. The dog captured the mood very well.
