Edit my File - Lelystad Harbour Netherlands

Post by Gerrit »

This one was shot today on a very sunny day, the fog was barely gone.
The photo is taken in Lelystad, where i live. Its a place in The Netherlands.
You can edit this photo if you like, the raw file is included.
Shot with a nikon Vi and 10 mm lens.

My personal edit:

AFFINITY PHOTO is eenmalig 50euro, lightroom 20euro per maand.
Ik kan niet goed werken met lightroom.
Groetjes Marcel
Hello gerrit, first of all thank you for sharing this beautiful photo of Lelystad with us.
It is true that I am using affinity photo. I used 5 different layers with your photo. 1 First I reduced the exposure 2stops then used a new fill layer blue, then I returned the exposure to your exposure, then I placed spotlights on the position, then I lit up some more in different places and then finally I have uses a gradient filter (black). I then brought all this together into 1 image.
AFFINITY PHOTO is a one-time fee of 50 euros, lightroom 20 euros per month.
I cannot work well with lightroom.
Greetings Marcel

Great work, Marcel, I really like your editing.
I shot a few photo's round the harbour and made a pano out of it.

I downloaded Affinity a few weeks ago as a trail, it was half price then.
The program i use is Lightroom, but i'm looking for Affinity as a replacement.
It is more of a photoshop alternative.

It was such a good photo I have not found much to do. Here is a straight color edit.

Thanks Demorcan,

It is funny to see what a 10 megapixel camera with a 1 inch sensor can do with a good lens.

The colours are more natural, i like it.

A more creative edit. Uncropped but playing with duotoning.

The V1 was actually a pretty nice camera. The 1" sensor does a good job in many situations. My straight color processing includes color grading and detail enhancement. It has become so much easier for the detail since I got a plug in to do it with. The second edit was a straight photoshop edit.

So I felt the harbor was too wide to balance the scene, so I cropped it two different ways.
