Intro for your videos

Post by Cizauskas »

Hi, Rob.

I enjoyed your new tutorial on file names, copyrights, etc. There's always something to learn from you.

Just a thought about your new format. Without an intro, your videos now seem to begin abruptly. Instead, I think you SHOULD introduce yourself, either à la Peter Forsgård ("I'm an Olympic Visionary from Finland. My videos are all about you becoming a better photographer.") or go back, say, to the brief bumper you used to show, or create a new intro, whether filmed or just spoken. Either way, a brief intro establishes your bona fides and explains what your channel is about (e.g, tutorials, photo-walks, live-streams, photo-edits, etc.), especially for new viewers. Without a (brief) explanatory intro, you could just be some dude with a camera...although we, in the know, know better! ;-)

Just my 2.0 f/stop!
Tom

Thanks, Thomas.

I got a few comments about not including the bumper video anymore. Just thought I'd give it a try and see anyone notices. Apparently, there are!

Personally, I like the bumpers and was going to make a new one. Maybe several 5-second bumpers with different themes to appropriately complement the video's intent.

My biggest problem is I don't really have a tagline like Peter and others. I tried the "Guy with a Camera" in the beginning, but then I got so many cameras.

I know, I script too often, but lets go geeky.

' Rob Trek, Guy with $Camera "

Now you can script the video bumper to auto include whatever camera is used in that episode.
Any scripter would love the joke in that bumper btw.

An other title would be, 'The photo Olympian' or ' Confessions of a MFT addict'
One can play along.
Do be careful, as bumpers can be annoying.
Red35 is too loud for my ears, Robin's are nice //lets do this//

How about The Camera Space (or Camera Space Man)? And let them figure out all the meanings as they watch more streams and videos.

Haha! I will keep these in mind. Trying to avoid the "Sci-Fi" theme.

Ah, well, let me help you a bit :
(Dutch ) trek = (English) appetite, but your /trek/ is also valid over here : Vogeltrek = Birdmigration.
Avoiding Sci-Fi ??? Never watched the short trek episodes ??? Afraid you stepped into their trap :P
See you sunday
