Try to include some commentary - behind the scenes, the story, settings, etc...

A couple of my good photos

Post by DeMorcan »

Going back to my roots and learning something new. I used to do home and garden photography. After my son left this earth and my home was destroyed and everything I had stolen, I started finding new botanical gardens opening to do their calendars, post cards and 11X14 prints. This lead to do other things for visitors and convention bureaus in small tourists centers. Then I got cancer and had to live in one place a couple years. So I sold the RV and my photography business. I was just going to do prints in galleries since my sister and I have things in some of the galleries. Everything else I would just take photos for a client and sell all rights as I am too old for all that business stuff. I was finally retired. Then came the pandemic and here I am shooting for a series book to be sold to tourists. Most quality magazines airbrushed the photos to make them prefect. Even film was not SOOC. And these are lightly "airbrushed". This time I have rights to the photos (due to very nice person) and can share some here. And I am shooting in a square format I have never used. BTW, color prints never have white as white is just paper, so there is a slight tint to all white. So, I am sharing a couple of the photos here. Not sure they are my best. But they are closer to what I used to do. I was going to send one of these in for critique, but since Rob has not done that for awhile, he can critique then here for me please. I will finish editing them in a week after they have set awhile. I do know the grey area in the center of the one needs something done to it.
